The Might of Omnipotent Spirit

I remember when I used to feel so weak, as if defeated and discouraged by all the negative thoughts that came. I also remember that was when self will, human ambition governed my life. Realizing my inseparability from Spirit, God, gives me the lasting strength which makes life worth living. These citations from the lesson speak to our source of real strength, obvious maybe, but needs to be remembered:

S&H 14 To be "with the Lord" is to be in obedience to the law of God, to be absolutely governed by divine Love,—by Spirit, not by matter.

S&H 491 : 12 -16 It is only by acknowledging the supremacy of Spirit, which annuls the claims of matter, that mortals can lay off mortality and find the indissoluble spiritual link which establishes man forever in the divine likeness, inseparable from his creator.

How can a spiritual being (God's reflection) live outside of God's absolute government? If Spirit is my dwelling place, the evidence of that must show in a life “absolutely governed by God.”
