I Corinthians 10

Citation 7 from the Bible has so much in that I couldn't possibly tell it all here, but here is a little.
All of our fathers passed through the sea and were baptized unto (by) Moses
refers to their being between two high walls of water with the cloud over them They were completely immersed. They followed him in to be led and taught.
The cloud wasn't just in front of them (I picture a Cecil B. De Mille movie I saw as a child that probably formed a lot of my conceptions of this story) but the cloud was over, around and under them and went before them to remove any obstacles. It hid them from any enemies who might harm them.
Their spiritual meat was manna, which came down from heaven just as Christ did. Jewish tradition says that whatever one had a taste for, fish or whatever, it tasted like that. But still they wanted the actual flesh.
The Rock followed them, satisfying their thirst, for 38 years until they came to their trial of faith at Kadesh.
They were protected and supplied in every way, yet still dissatisfied.
And so are we protected and supplied. O God, let me not be dissatisfied!

Thank you for this post, and this reminder to not be tempted to be dissatisfied. It is humbling to contemplate those who have come before, to teach us these wonderful lessons.

"And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." These are very inspiring words from Paul, who understood the Christ, as Mrs. Eddy states: "… the Christ is without beginning of years or end of days. Throughout all generations both before and after the Christian era, the Christ, as the spiritual idea, -- the reflection of God, -- has come with some measure of power and grace to all prepared to receive Christ, Truth."

I'm grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us the Key to the Scriptures. This is such an expansive and liberating view as compared to what I've heard in traditional theology. And I thank all in Plainfield, especially the practitioners, working continuously to teach and inspire everyone, it's like having non-stop class instruction!
