"Stand fast"

Gal. 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

Once we are freed from something that has bound us, it’s up to us to make sure we don’t get dragged back into the same old habits again.

I remember being taught here that when we’ve been healed of something, we need to continue our work so that our thought is at the same high level as the practitioner’s who helped us with the healing. The practitioner has seen the truth about us and our situation, and we need to continue the “fight” until we can see it clearly, too. Of course, the fight isn’t between two realities called good and evil (evil, which has no existence!)—the fight is to keep our vision clear so that we only see the “enduring, the good, and the true” and not become mesmerized by distractions around us. That’s standing fast!

Thanks, Carol...how true, and Mrs. Eddy confirms this in Misc.Writ.(p.367:22):
"It is not against evil, but against knowing evil, that God forewarned."
